Summer vacation down on the Florida - Alabama Coast.

We went down to Gulf Shores Alabama in August of 2009.  A beautiful place to relax.

This was a slight adjustment to the colors.

I guess he is listening for the cannon shot.

I was trying the settings on the camera for a night shot. I think I left the shutter open too long.

Gulf Shores Alabama about 7am.

I woke up this morning and saw the sun breaking. It was a nice stroll on the beach.

Gulf Shores Alabama around 7:30am

As I made my way down the beach this is what nature gave me.

Beach Chairs

I saw these lined up and thought that it would make a neat picture. This is an un-retouched, exactly how I saw it through the lens. This was the second shot of the same chairs, with a slight camera setting adjustment.

Beach Chairs

I tilted the camera and took this picture. I added color adjustment through Photoshop and this is what I came up with.

Alabama Pier

I made my way down to the pier and stood underneath and snapped this photo.

The Hangout Restuarant, Alabama

The family loaded up and went to this restuarant on the beach. This was a GIANT fan spinning inside. I shot this with the regular camera settings and the fan looks like it is off.

Adjusted the shutter speed and then took a picture. Now the fan has come alive and gives it the look of spinning. Converted this too Black/White just for fun.

I took a couple of the fan shots and merged them into a software program to create this picture of the fan.

Me and the Wife

Julie and I out at the beach getting some sun.

Julie and me

This was my first shot using the timer delay. I set up the tripod and then ran over to where she was standing. We had too stand motionless for about 30 seconds.

The second attempt at the night shot with Julie and I. Adjusted the colors with the camera and a small adjustment using Photoshop.

Our House

I just received the tripod and wanted to take a night shot. Set up on my front sidewalk and took my first night photo.

Downtown Dallas

I was zooming along in my car and rolled down the window and snapped this photo. Was checking out the fast shutter features.
